Information for students going to Campus Sisimiut

Accomodation in Sisimiut

As a student at Arctic DTU Campus Sisimiut, either at our arctic educations or a stay in connection with your master thesis, you will be accommodated in one of Sisimiut’s two residence halls, both located in Sisimiut town within a short walking distance from campus. We will do our best to accommodate you together with your classmates.

You will have your own furnished room and access to shared facilities as living room with TV, kitchen and a laundry room with washing machines and dryers for free use. You will have to sign up for an Internet subscription in your room yourself. The internet at campus is for free.

How do I apply for accommodation?

For students at our educations you do not have to apply for a room. You will be assigned a room automatically when you have accepted the course or education. For master students please contact us on mail, arctic@dtu.dk

What does accommodation cost?

The cost is 850 Dkr. pr. month (approximately 115 euro/month). At arrival, you will have to sign a contract on the rent and will get information on how to pay the rent.

Assistance when you arrive

When you arrive, the staff at Campus will assist you in connection with:

• a visit at the Police to get your visa (if needed)
• if you need to contact the municipality
• introduction to where to get a sim-card
• other small things that can be difficult at the beginning of your stay.

Safety when studying at Campus SIsimiut

All students must complete a safety course in connection to the start of their studies in Sisimiut. Further, you will have to take an online quiz that requires that you have familiarized yourself with our safety handbook. Read more about our safety
