DTU Staff and Student Housing in Nuuk
From August 2025, DTU will enter into a lease agreement for housing in Nuuk. This housing will be available for both DTU students and staff and will accommodate both short- and long-term stays. The initiative will begin as a one-year pilot project.

Location:
The house is situated at Issortarfimmut 1, a 20-minute walk to Nuuk city center. There is a Citybus-stop 5 minutes walk from the house. Around 3 departures per hour during the day.
Purpose:
The purpose of this housing initiative is to strengthen DTU’s presence in Nuuk and to encourage collaboration with local partners, including Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq. By offering affordable and comfortable housing for visiting staff and students, the initiative aims to support academic exchange and joint activities. Furthermore, the project will contribute to developing partnerships, notably with Nalik Ventures, the owner of the building.
Housing options:
- 4 Single Rooms
Each room has its own separate entrance, bathroom and toilet
Shared kitchen and living area
Suitable for DTU students, PhD students or staff on short stays (minimum 3 nights)
Price:
Students: 50 Dkr./night, 1000 Dkr./month.
Staff: 250 Dkr./night, 5000 Dkr./month.
- 1 two-room appartment
Includes a private kitchen and bathroom with toilet
Suitable for staff on long-term stays, 1–2 persons (minimum 3 nights)
Price:
1 person: 500 Dkr./night.
Two persons: 750 Dkr./night.
General conditions:
It is not possible to book the rooms for urgent accommodation during layover in Nuuk or similar situations. In such cases, we kindly refer you to local hotels in Nuuk.
The housing is only available for DTU staff and students. External visitors are welcome if staying together with DTU-guests as part of a DTU-project/collaboration.
All rooms are fully furnished including kitchenware, washing mashine and tumble dryer. Bedlinen and towels are included in the rent.
Availability:
The accommodation will be opened for guests from August 15.
