Campus in Sisimiut

DTU has a campus in the Greenlandic town Sisimiut.

Sisimiut is situated just north of the Arctic Circle and is Greenland’s second-largest town with around 5,600 inhabitants. The town is also home to DTU's campus in Greenland.

The campus houses students who attend the BEng in Arctic Technology as well as The Arctic Semester and Nordic Master in Cold Climate Engineering. A number of research activities and field work is being conducted from Sisimiut as well.

In 2017, the campus moved into a new building owned by Tech College Greenland (KTI). DTU and KTI are collaborating on a number of areas.

The operation of DTU Sisimiut Campus is anchored at DTU Civil Engineering.

International research conference in Sisimiut

Every other year, DTU hosts an international conference that addresses different topics within the range of Arctic technology. In 2018 the topic is Transporation Infrastructure Engineering in Cold Regions.
